Wells Creek
Jule's guidebook has a good write up with gps coordinates. It took us about 4 hours to hike the 8 miles to the put in. Of course you could go higher if you wanted a bit of a braided warm up, but that's what other rivers are for.

Expect about another 4 hours of paddling. We ran it at near floor stage and everything was read and run ranging from II through -IV. The major feature was closer to class V, but at lower flows it would be a IV.

Log cabin remains before pulling ridge.
River picks up pretty quickly after put in
Big rocks and features
The main rapid will change from class IV to V depending on flow. At high flow it was pretty spicy. I elected to portage but Erik was braver than me.
